Plastics
Precision laser welding of plastics or metals in high or low volume production is ideal for laser processing.

High strength plastic seam welds can be easily accomplished by correctly retaining the mating parts and applying a controlled combination of pressure and laser power. Hermitic sealing and mechanical bonding are both excellent applications for our laser welding systems. In many cases, the weld areas far exceed the strength of the base material and are highly repeatable compared to other methods.

Metals
Precision metal components such as thin walled tubing and fine metal stampings are excellent materials for consistent laser welding. Focal points down to a few thousands of an inch are possible resulting in very minimal heat build up and highly controlled weld seams. Laser welding of larger components is a simple function of increasing laser power and controlling speeds.

The Automated Laser team is also one of the few who can integrate secondary operations into the process such as bulk part feeding, automated assembly, inspection, material handling or other options as needed to deliver the total turnkey solution.
